Kim Junsu starts his first performance of musical Elizabeth on Aug 14.

Last year, with his performance in the premiere of Elizabeth, he was highly acclaimed by the original writer as the ‘overwhelming acting which is closest to the Death that the writer intended to show.’ And, he won the Best Male Lead in the 18th Korean Musical Awards, proving his ability. Thus, people have high expectation toward him now.

Cjes Entertainment said, “After the news of his participating into the Encore Elizabeth, the ticket war has been ever fiercer than before. Tickets for a total of 14 performances have been all sold out at every ticket open, and the musical company additionally opened even dead zone seats(due to blind spot, about half of the performance is not visible from these seats) and a total of 30,000 tickets including these seats all sold out too.”

Cjes added, “Kim Junsu stood on the stage of the Sejong Art Center with musical Mozart! in 2010, and on that of the National Theater with musical Tears of Heaven in 2011. This year he’s going to stand on the stage of the Seoul Art Center, setting a great record of selling all tickets of the 3 major grand theaters and proving his high value.

At the press conference on July 25 Kim Junsu has said that, “I decided to participate in 2013 Elizabeth in order to present newly interpreted, improved ‘Death(TOD).’ I’m happy and excited just by the fact that I can stand on the stage with the best actors and actresses.”
